Social exhaustion is not the same as dislike of people. It is a finite resource that runs down, and for a lot of people it runs down faster after a period of having to manage somebody else's moods around the clock. Survivors of narcissistic relationships often describe a stretch of time afterwards when even ordinary socialising felt like work, because they had spent years reading a room for danger. Recovering the ability to enjoy company again takes a while, and in the meantime this shirt says the necessary thing without a conversation.
